چکیده

The organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) is recognized as a suitable substrate for the anaerobic digestion (AD) process and currently considered mature technology. A promising strategy to enhance biogas yield productivity co-digestion OFMSW with other biomass, such green (GW), mixture leaves, grass, woody materials originated from private yards public greenspace management. main limitation use GW production high percentage lignocellulosic fraction, which makes necessary pretreatment delignification dissolve recalcitrant structure. In this study, new sustainable bio-delignification using white-rot fungi Bjerkandera adusta (BA) in comparison chemical pretreatments were investigated. Untreated treated were, respectively, submitted OFMSW. AD processes carried out lab-scale plant 30 days thermophilic conditions (55 °C). Biogas cumulative was increased by about 100% case compared that just OFMSW, 145 289 Nm3 CH4/ton SV, almost doubled 283 Nm3/ton FM * day. measured average methane content values 55% 54% GW. Moreover, over 95% produced 20 days, showing potential opportunity reduce time.

LCA of Biogas Through Anaerobic Digestion from the Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste (OFMSW) Compared to Incineration of the Waste

Production of biogas through anaerobic digestion (AD) from the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) was compared to incineration of the waste. At the moment, almost all of the OFMSW in Singapore is incinerated. Three different scales of biogas plants were compared to incineration: one large-scale biogas plant that can treat half of all OFMSW in Singapore; one medium-scale biogas pl...

Optimization of Process Parameters Affecting Biogas Production from Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste via Anaerobic Digestion

The aim of this study was to obtain the optimal conditions for biogas production from anaerobic digestion of organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) using response surface methodology (RSM). The parameters studied were initial pH, substrate concentration and total organic carbon (TOC). The experimental results showed that the linear model terms of initial pH and substrate concentratio...

Theoretical methane production generated by the co-digestion of organic fraction municipal solid waste and biological sludge

The co-digestion of two problematic and available wastes, namely Organic Fraction Municipal Solid Waste (OFMSW) and biological sludge, was carried out in this work. Biochemical Methane Potential (BMP) tests are a useful tool for determining the best substrate and co-digestion configurations, however there are some methodologies destined to save costs and time from this process by using the theo...
